Up until the 90’s, the number of newborn girls in the UK being named Nicole was so low it wasn’t even recorded. By 1994, Nicole was the 36th most popular name for girls, with 12,000 born in the following decade. All this followed the launch of Renault’s Papa? Nicole! campaign in 1991…

I think not.
To celebrate the launch of the new Renault Megane E-Tech, we tracked down over 300 Nicoles named after the original and created a short form documentary about three of them and their dear papas, the highs, lows, challenges and dreams of a new generation women forging their own journeys through life.
The campaign was teased for two weeks prior to Father’s Day with a national DOOH and social campaign featuring the iconic original dialogue. More to come…
